Gist : The Easy Way To Stay Connected

March 8th, 2011

I’ll admit when Gist first hit the scene I wasn’t a fan-  it was just another application that promised to help me stay organized online.  While it was a good idea I wasn’t ready to let them handle everything.  As a matter of fact it would have taken hours to really organize and set it up to help the disorganized like me!

Fast forward a few months later and I read something about Gist and thought I’d take another look.  Glad I did.  Gist seems to have come a long way in a short time.  Maybe not, maybe I was just more open minded this time!

Imagine one place to manage your social networks while connecting those same people to their emails, calendars and other important contact information. Also, If you are following 1,000s of people on Twitter and Facebook you can rate the ‘importance’ of each individual so you don’t miss any updates or so you miss them all! Your choice. I wouldn’t recommend doing a demo of this with your least favorite friends ( their rank of 50 or lower could hurt some feelings).

I’m giving you the short version for sure but I think it’s worth the time to check it out. I run Gist on my desktop in the office and yes they have ‘an app for that’.
